Emotional and psychological problems respond particularly well to this therapy.
The aim of analytical therapy is to search for and discover the original reason or
cause of a specific behavioural problem such as a phobia
, panic attack, or irrational fear.
Having revealed and faced the cause and thus removed it,
a permanent relief of the symptom is achieved. This type of therapy uses hypnosis to help
the process of random recall of past events, which is known as free association.
An emotionally important experience from the past may be hidden from the conscious
mind but linked with a protective pattern of behaviour such as a phobia or panic attack,
or a physical symptom such as a stammer. By re-examining past events and allowing the
associated emotions to be released, those patterns of behaviour or symptoms become unnecessary
and cease to exist.

There is no reason why anyone should put up with something “inside themselves but outside
their control”, provided they can devote time, effort and finances to be free of their problem.
The use of hypnosis speeds up the analysis process, achieving in a matter of weeks what would
normally be expected to take many months or sometimes years of “conventional” analysis.
Analytical therapy usually takes between 8 to 10 weekly sessions of about 50 minutes each,
although this is only a guideline as each person is unique.
